Hi, I'm Tanya Bures
Page Beauty Founder &
Lead Makeup Artist with an effortless approach to beauty
With 20+ years in the beauty industry, I've honed in on looks that endure ever-changing beauty trends, and create space where clients feel comfortable and relaxed while seated in my chair.
IT BEGAN WITH FASHION
The (short) Story
While studying fashion at Parsons School of Design, NY, I discovered the world of editorial beauty. From the makeup and hair, to the set design and photography, I was more inspired by how the models looked rather than what they were wearing. A collection of tear sheets was started before the advent of Pinterest, and I would save images of makeup by Francois Nars and Stephane Marais. It was clear to me that makeup was the medium I needed to explore. A fellow student suggested I work behind the counter selling makeup as a summer job, and as soon as I picked up the makeup brush with my first client, I never looked back.
This shift into makeup utilized my innate sense of color while remaining deeply inspired by fashion and editorials.
Over the years, my career advanced as the West Coast National Artist for NARS Cosmetics and eventually the NARS Account Executive in the Southwest. At the same time, I worked privately with clients creating makeup looks that felt fresh and most importantly, real.
By 2013, I had a thriving referral-based side business that naturally developed into Page Beauty, a curated a company of hair and makeup artists who shared the same philosophy in beauty. Formed from the love of modern, elevated and seemingly effortless looks, I'm proud to have a family of artists represent Page Beauty with professionalism, warmth and exceptional talent.
Aptly named after those early beauty pages in magazines, I continue finding inspiration in the world of fashion and beauty.
I'll always love hearing how happy my client feels when she sees herself first, not the makeup.
THE ARTISTS
AS ONE BRIDE shared with her PLANNER,
"THEY GET ME."
Page Beauty artists experts in beauty. Notably, they're experts in either hairstyling or makeup, dedicating years of experience and methodology in their chosen field.
While some artists can do both, I believe artists truly love one more than the other, and their work is a visual testament. For this reason, artists are selected to represent Page Beauty based on their specialty, and clients never have to worry about their hairstyling or makeup when sitting in our chair.
We work exclusively with Page Beauty artists to ensure a high standard of service and aesthetic. Our company is a tight family of friends, some of us working together years before Page Beauty was formed. This connection creates the kind of camaraderie you'll love having on your wedding day.
Harper's Bazaar recently featured images of our work in "The New Rules of Wedding Beauty" highlighting glowing skin and minimalist makeup. Fittingly, that's what we've always been known for.
